Labor Day weekend

We had a pretty special Labor Day weekend. My Dad, his wife (Ann), their daughter (Michelle) and her boyfriend (Cody) came to visit us. They all live in Kansas so we only see each other about once a year. It was their first time coming to our home. They asked me to take Michelle's senior pictures, so that was their original purpose of the trip. We had a lot of great time to hang out though, and my Dad helped Travis with a project at our house.

Travis and I really had a fantastic weekend with our visitors. We had lots of great food, of course that's always a highlight for me :) Ann, Michelle, and I did a bit of shopping on Main Street and I got to show them a couple of my favorite places, Peek-a-boo Baby and Scratch! They bought us some fantastic gifts at Peek-a-boo that I can't wait for baby boy to get to use.

Our photo session lasted a little over 3 hours. It was fun to get to hop around to so many of my favorite locations. Michelle was pretty tired of smiling after that long but I took so many images, it's going to take a LONG time to get through them all. Here is a little sneak peek!

We had such a GREAT weekend in Waterloo--it was a perfect balance of relaxation and fun activities (eating/snacking/shopping!!). It was so fun to just hang out with you guys and Mowgli, of course.
LOVE this first picture...hope there are more like it!!! I am so anxious to see them, but realize there are a TON of them to get through. Thanks for the great weekend and making Michelle's pictures so much fun!! Ann
