4 pounds later...

I really didn't get my camera out too much at our Christmases (6 in total).  So you'll have to forgive me for too many words and too little photos.  We started out the festivities by just Travis and I exchanging gifts.  We knew exactly what we were getting from each other.  In the past, we've done the typical, get a few surprise gifts for each other.  This year, we both really wanted one thing, and they were pretty pricey.  Trav got some sort of impact/ driver drill, I really can't describe it very well (we just sent each other links for our presents)  and I got a new camera!

Christmas Day we woke up at Travis' parent's house and watched approximately 46 episodes of Leave it to Beaver.  I found out this is a decent show, but not one i want to consume my day with.  I believe everyone got a shower in, and most of us brushed our teeth :)
Mowgli slept:
Chase texted:
Travis was... Travis
For some reason, almost every time I have typed out CHRISTMAS this season, I have forgotten the "T" and had to go back after spell check told me I forgot it. I don't know why, I'm weird. Mowgli was so much fun to watch at the farm this Christmas. He LOVES snow, and loves to run up the biggest piles he can find. Our biggest struggle with him has been "come". Sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn't. While we were at the farm, he never wanted to come inside and didn't listen when called.  Naughty puppy...
My brother gave Mowgli a bone with some sort of red filling in it.  He loves it, but it gets all over  everything, so we only let Mowgli have it when he's in his kennel or in the kitchen.  A couple of times, he has tried to bring it in the living room.  I calmly say, No, and put it back in his kennel.  Once after I did this, I saw him go to his kennel, NEVER taking his eyes of of me, pick it up, and lay it ever so gently just two inches outside of his kennel.  Maybe it's one of those things you had to see to appreciate, but it was too cute.
We went to Des Moines to my mom's house on Friday.  It was a lot more laying around and eating.  We did manage to fit a few games in to the mix.  Mom lost:
If I had to guess, I would say Travis' favorite Christmas present would be:
His new company phone, the blackberry storm.  It nearly ruined my Christmas.  Travis can always find ways to test my patience, but he outdid himself by dinking around with that phone during family Christmas events, like dinner, games, and opening presents.  I get flustered just thinking about it!

I weighed myself the day after our last celebration in Des Moines and I was four pounds heavier than I normally weigh!!!  I told Travis and asked if he had weighed himself recently, he replied NO.  A couple days later when we were eating dinner he told me he had weighed himself and ALSO weighed 4 pounds more than normal.  I laughed so hard :)  Hope you had a great Christmas!  Happy New Year!

Cracking me up again. Have I stepped on the scale yet? Nope, too scared. Jay and I have had many conversations about "dinking" with technology or reading a book or doing something else when he should be socializing. Men, gotta love em - right?
