Free as a... puppy
I'm not sure if Mowgli knows he is domesticated. Sometimes he acts like a wild dog, as if his next meal depends on whether he catches the squirrel he's running after. Or that it is his job to protect us from the scary sounds on the TV. Which by the way, he absolutely watches TV. And not just is aware of it, but if even a cartoon of an animal is on the screen, making no noise, he has to let us know danger is just around the corner! He'll then look at Travis with his ears back waiting for confirmation of his actions :)
Running free is his favorite thing to do. And we love it when he gets to be wild.
Until it leads to this:
which has ultimately lead to this:
Not so free anymore, are you little buddy! I tell him almost daily that he has done this to himself :)

I'd like to think this was an accident... :) What happens with our pups is that they start out chewing their own toys, not intending at all to chew our woodwork, furniture, etc. Then they just get an accidental nibble in there while still chewing their toy. Once they get that first taste, they think to themselves, "Hey, this isn't so bad." Then it begins... Isn't it crazy that Mowgli hasn't done anything like that until now...? You want to be able to trust them!
Oh those chew marks are not "NEW"... they are just be revealed to the public now. :)

Very creative way to post this. :) Though he may ruin some woodwork- he's still so cute. Poor Mowgli!!! His cage looks nice at least. Hope all is well.
