A few similarities that are quite obvious to me when looking at photos of us side by side. Whenever my mom and I were standing together, my Uncle Lloyd would always say, "that's what 25 years will do to you!" Unfortunately I didn't get her super soft skin or glowing personality.... wait, no... I guess I got the last one :) I'm also going grey, it's true. There are quite a lot of grey hairs in there. Turns out my mom started coloring her grey hair when she was only 25, the same year she had me!

My mom took that photo of me one of the last times I visited her in Des Moines. It was more fun than I thought to compare such similar images of us together. I know how blessed I am to have her as my mom and I am SO lucky to get to spend so much time with her in this phase of my life. I was actually down there earlier this week soaking up the last pool days of summer.
