All natural (Waterloo/ Cedar Falls child photographer)

When I get to a client's home, the first thing I do is find the BEST light. Sometimes that means I have a lot of room to work in, and often it means fitting in to some awkward places. Hunting for the perfect spot is worth it for me because I really love the feel of natural light photographs. I'm certainly not against studio lights or even bouncing a flash. It's just not my style. I love walking in to someone's home with my camera, a few blankets and maybe a prop or two. Ava rocked her 6 month session! I photographed her in her home for her newborn session last summer. Now look how big she is!

And a special thank you to the inventor of "baby legs". I think this look is so adorable. I'm pretty sure her daddy made the comment that she looked like she was straight out of the 80's :) This one below is actually Ava with big sister Morgan.

Oh Oscar.... He kept on wanting to go after Ava's toes so his rear was facing the camera! That picture DIDN'T make the blog :)

I absolutely adore Ava's family. This is my 4th shoot with them, so we're old friends by now! It's so great to make new friendships and feel totally comfortable with the people I'm blessed to photograph. I can only hope to watch Ava grow up into a little lady :)
